GENERAL THEME:
BUILDING UP COMPETENCIES, VALUE CREATION, AND COMPETITIVENESS

OBJECTIVE
The ASC PHOTO COMPETITION 2009 is held to stimulate the intellectual capacity in individuals to express their thinking through photography. ASC believes that the ability to portray ideas and clear thinking through visual arts would enhance the brain capacity to perform multitasking activities which is in turn it builds up competencies, value creation and competitiveness in a person.

The competition is open to general public

* Poverty and Wealth
* Green Indonesia and Climate Change
* Politics and Leadership

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

* The photo must be an original work of the participant and never been published bya ll means of publication.
* The participants can only submit one photo to the competition.
* All photos submitted for the competition will become the property of the ASC and all rights and titles, including copy rights and intellectual property rights, are reserved solely for the ASC.
* All decisions made by the ASC is final and is not subject to any challenge by third party.
* The photo must conform to the format specified for the competition with respect to the media used for the painting.
* The deadline to submit the photo is March 20, 2009 in accordance to the format specified by 5 p.m. WIB No photo will be accepted after 5 p.m.
* All participants must submit a completed application together with the photo to enroll in the competition by courier to the ASC. The application can be downloaded at www.arysutacenter.com. No application and painting will be accepted after March 20, 2009.
* The ASC will nominate five (5) participants to determine on each Group to be selected into the three (3) finalists for the competition. A letter of nomination will be sent to the respective nominees on March 23, 2009.
* The three (3) finalists and the winner of the competition will be announced on April 12, 2009 at the 1st anniversary of the ASC.

AWARDS
Financial Reward: Cash
Winner: IDR 10 million
1st Runner-up: IDR 5 million
2nd Runner-up: IDR 3 million

Non-Financial Reward:
The ASC Certificate for the WInner, 1st Runner-up, and 2nd Runner-up and their respective photography will be entered into the ASC Arts Exhibition 2009.

FORMAT OF THE PAINTING
The painting submitted by the participants in the competition must adhere to the following specifics; otherwise the painting will be automatically disqualified for the competition:

The photo must conform to the following format:

* Done either on paper-based media.
* The photo can be in color or back-and-white.
* The size of the photo without frame for the respective must be in 17R size.
* The photo must carry the specified theme accordingly.The participant’s name and signature must be on the back of the photo.
* The front cover of the packaging for the painting must at least consist (i) the respective Group allocation; (ii) the participant’s name; and (iii) the words; "Submitted for the ASC CHILDREN PAINTING COMPETITION 2009" after the participants’ name.
